Eduardo Reyes Sanchez, 78, of Port Isabel, Texas, born October 13, 1936, passed away on March 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born and raised in Mexico City. At the age of 14, he came to the United States where he was an avid shrimper until he retired at the age of 60. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margarita Sanchez; three brothers: Concepcion, Leandro, and Julio Sanchez; his mother, Concepcion Sanchez; and father, Agustin Sanchez. He is survived by five children: Edward (Alberta) Sanchez, Jr., Agustin (Judith) Sanchez, Suzanna (Michael) Holland, Leticia (Anthony) De Genovese, and Gustavo (Cynthia) Sanchez; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Rosa Maria Sanchez; four brothers: Andres Sanchez, Agustin Sanchez, Ijinio (Juana) Sanchez, and Jose A. Sanchez; and sisters-in-law, Etelvina and Irma Sanchez. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel, Texas.
