Obituary of Adoralida Corona

Adoralida "Dora" Corona, 62, of San Benito, TX, entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at University Hospital in San Antonio, TX.
Dora was an employee for 40 years at Cameron County as a filing clerk and assistant to the Cameron County Treasurer until she retired in August of 2010. She served as a notary public for the State of Texas and Cameron County and was a long time member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. She volunteered for over 15 years with the Cameron County Livestock Show, and was a past member of the San Benito Band Booster Club in the 1980's through the 1990's.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfonso and Elia Flores; her granddaughter, Alyssa "Nena" Rodriguez; two brothers, Gerardo and George Flores; and one sister, Janie Flores.
She is survived by her loving husband, Teodoro C. Corona of San Benito; her daughter, Cynthia A. Corona of San Antonio, TX.; her son, Michael (Diana) Corona of San Benito; four grandchildren: Christopher, Richie, Ava, and Eden; She is also survived by four brothers: Cesar (Velma) Flores, Javier (Elsa) Flores, Robert (Gracie) Flores, and Edwin (Alice) Flores.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 2:00 pm at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal service will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
Serving as pallbearers are Cesar Flores, Roel Corona, Alfonso Flores, Tony Corona, Gerardo Flores Jr. Carlos Pena, Robert Flores Jr., and Michael Corona.
