Obituary of Aurora Mullins

Aurora O. Mullins 81, born in Ojocaliente, Zacatecas, Mexico and a long life resident of San Benito, entered into eternal rest on March 4, 2015. She was one of the eldest of three living siblings of a family of 21. Aurora was a long time employee of Gorges and Tyson Meat Co. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Eli Mullins; sister, Maria de La Luz (Lucita) Olmedo; brother, Jose (Pepe) Olmedo; numerous brothers and sisters; and parents Juanita Olmedo and Jose G. Olmedo. She is survived by her only son, Rudy (Julie) Olmedo; five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Leonel Olmedo; sister, Juanita Olmedo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are: Natalie M. Cantu, Analisa Martinez, Chris Cantu Jr., Abel Cantu, David Rodriguez, Jr., Joel O. Barrera Jr., and Mario Montez.
