I knew Mr. Vega for many years. He was a great person. He was my banker as I was growing up at Merchants Marine State Bank. After the bank closed, and up to the last time I saw him at Isabel's Kafe not too long ago he remembered me and called me by my first name. He will be missed.

I share in your grief and loss at this very difficult time. My fondest memories are of Judge Vega always offering sage advice, before,during and after my Marriage. Never one to recuse himself from visits, even when he wasn’t feeling up to it, their home is always open and welcoming. Judge Vega showed himself to be Resilient, Patient and ever competent in his devotion to his Leadership and most importantly, his family. His faith, Optimism and Trusting Nature won him many people’s hearts over a lifetime. He endured much and his support system never failed him, his family. I know words are of little consolation right now, but know that you are not alone.
