LOS FRENSOS, TX. - Herlinda Rivera Abrego, 87 years of age entered the eternal kingdom of her Savior Jesus Christ early Monday morning February 5, 2007 at her residence in the presence of her loving family. She was born on May 30, 1919 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico but was a lifetime resident of Los Fresnos, Texas. She was one of the original founders of the Los Fresnos Senior Citizen Center. She also served as a volunteer in the Los Fresnos Headstart Program in the late 1970's. She was also a Deacon of Disipulos De Cristo of the Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer in Los Fresnos, Texas. To honor her that is where the celebration of her life will be held. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and a Great Great Grandmother, and a very active member of her church. She is survived by her 10 children; Candelaria Garcia (Nacho Vela), Samuel Abrego, Jesus Abrego, Rosalinda (Manuel) Flores, Francisca (Reynaldo) Alatorre, Anna (Martin) Infante, Manuel Abrego, Eva (Pablo) Garcia, Francisco Abrego, Jr., and Noemi (John) Romero, 28 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild, 2 Sisters; Juanita Rivera Arredondo of Los Fresnos, Texas and Concepcion Rivera Ramos of Puebla, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco Abrego, Sister; Esperanza Rivera Flores, and 2 Brothers; Manuel Rivera, and Gustavo Rivera. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Marty Infante, Ricky Flores, Caesar "Chicho" Garcia, Nicolas Romero, Samuel Abrego, Jr., and Rey Alatorre, Jr. Times of service will be Visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 2/6/2007 with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Iglesia Cristiana Ebenezer located at 205 W. 1st in Los Fresnos, Texas. Viewing will resume, as of 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 2/7/2007 and her funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., interment will follow to the Los Cuates Community Cemetery .
