San Benito - Telesforo F. Torres, 96, a loving father, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 8, 2007. He was born October 23, 1910 to the late Albino and Gregoria Farias Torres. Telesforo is survived by 3 daughters, Rachel (Angel) Cantu, Gloria Garcia, and Leticia Zuniga; 3 sons, Abelino (Yolanda) Torres, Carlos (Amanda) Torres, and Roger (Olivia) Torres; 1 brother, Lolo Torres and 1 sister, Luisa Curiel. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Jesusa Martinez Torres, sister, Cipriana Tijerina and brother, Jose Torres. Telesforo worked for Valley Transit Company for 25 years until his retirement and prior to that, was employed as a security guard by Burns Security and also worked for Pearl Beer Dist. Co. of Harlingen for many years in the 1940's and 1950's. Visitations will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 10:00 A.M., with Pastor Abel Torres officiating, at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. Pallbearers will be Rolando Cantu, Jose De Leon, Issak Garcia, Erick Garcia, Bobby Torres, Rene Chirinos, Jr., Mark Garcia, and Daniel Chirinos.
