Rosa H. Gonzalez, 78 of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on January 07, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Gonzalez Jr.; parents, Miguel and Tomasita Hernandez; 2 sisters, Enriqueta Landeros and Victoria Sepulveda; 3 brothers, Santiago Hernandez, Reyes Hernandez and Juan Hernandez; Rosa was born on August 30, 1932 in Port Isabel, Texas. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and a lifetime resident of Port Isabel. She survived by her 4 loving sons, Jose Luis (Rosie) Gonzalez, Guadalupe Gonzalez, Rolando Gonzalez, and Alfredo (Olivia) Gonzalez; her 9 loving daughters, Norma (Guadalupe) Ham, Elida Alvarado, Rosalinda Gonzalez, Maria (Robert) Lerma, Tommy (Reynaldo) Cantu, Celia Gonzalez, Yolanda (Noe) Garcia, Patricia (Patrick) Nuckols, and Rebecca Gonzalez; 23 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great-Granddaughter; Sister, Maria Hernandez Gomez; Several nephews, nieces and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Sunday January 09, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito and will continue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., in Port Isabel, Texas. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. Words of comfort can be sent to the family of Rosa H.
