David Charles "Charlie" Estes passed away on Tuesday, November 02, 2010 at his home in Laguna Vista. He was born on May 8, 1955, in Brownsville, TX and was a resident of the Port Isabel area his whole life. His great loves were his family, friends, and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Emily Estes. He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Estes; one son, D.J. (Francis) Estes; three daughters, Rebecca (Frank) Jimenez, Cynthia (Fernando) Fernandez, Jennifer (Randy) Torres; 12 grandchildren, Frank, Julia, Carolyn, Vincent, Veronica, Alexa, Claudia, Christian, Charles, Monica, David, and Amy. Charlie is also survived by three sisters, Bertha Estes, Martha Estes, Freda (Robert) Elliot; one aunt, Bernice Cook; father-in-law, Carlos (Guadalupe) Rivera; five brother-in-laws, Carlos (Magdalena) Rivera, Jr., Juan "Johnny" (Linda) Rivera, Albert (Lucy) Rivera, Larry (Eliza) Rivera, Jaime (Dawn) Rivera; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church, 101 West Adams St. in Port Isabel.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Sue Huntsman officiating.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of David Charles Estes to Saint Steven Food Pantry, First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1074, Port Isabel, Tx 78578.
