San Benito, TX: Maria Josefina Hernandez, 70, passed away October 10, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
She is preceded in death by her son, Victor Hernandez; and her grandson, Jose De La Garza.
Maria Josefina is survived by her children, Genaro Hernandez, Sol De La Garza, Minerva (Ramiro) Saldivar, Leo (Carmen) Hernandez and Ana Lilia (Baltazar) Pena; grandchildren, Victor Hernandez, Jr., Leo Hernandez, Jr., Ramiro Saldivar III, Sodelva Saldivar, Gina Hernandez, Annalii Pena, Anahii Pena and Ana Mia Pena.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
