Rio Hondo, TX- Timoteo Salazar, Jr., 58, passed away September 28, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He was a volunteer fire fighter for the Rio Hondo Fire Department in the 70's and early 80's. He is preceded in death by his father, Timoteo Salazar, Sr.; his sister, Maria Elisa Hudson; and a brother, Larry Salazar. Timoteo is survived by his companion, Angelita Falcon; his mother, Rosa Salazar; his children, Timmy Salazar and Reyes Salazar; his siblings, Maria Julia (Maurice) Gilbert, Felipa Lopez (Joe), Olga (Pete) Castillo, Jr., Noemi (Pedro) Salinas, Rosa Garcia and Joe Salazar; an aunts, Sara Galvan and Teodora Gomez; 3 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Interment will follow to Las Yescas Cemetery.
