San Benito, Tx - Martina S. Saldaña, 79, of San Benito entered into eternal life on Monday, August 30, 2010 at her residence in San Benito, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luciano and Ramona C. San Pedro; her daughter, Rosa Maria Martinez; four brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Porfirio Saldaña; her children, Alicia (Luz) Compean, Ismael Saldaña, Porfirio (Sandra) Saldaña, and Norma (Eleazar Cabrera) Saldaña; her grandchildren, Isabella Rose Compean, Tonya Gomez, Lynda Saldaña, Ismael Saldaña Jr., Graciela Saldaña, Maria Hernandez, Criselda Zepeda, Michelle Saldaña, Leya Saldaña, Porfirio Saldaña III, Lisa Saldaña, Veronica Lee Martinez, Ernesto Martinez Jr., Roberto Cabrera, Roy Cabrera, Raymond Rene Cabrera, and Eleazar Cabrera Jr.; and 19 great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
