Laguna Heights, TX: Clodio A. Zaldivar, 86, of Laguna Heights, TX passed away to be with the Lord on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Sunshine Haven in Olmito. He was a lifetime resident of Laguna Heights and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel. He was a shrimper in the shrimping industry for 30 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Blasa Valdez Zaldivar (May 4, 2009); his parents, Aldaberto Dolores and Jovita Torres Zaldivar; a son, Guadalupe L. Hernandez; two infant twin daughters, Maria and Maria Zaldivar; a brother, Loreto Zaldivar. Clodio is survived by his seven children, Juanita J.(Robert) Healy of Tampa, FL; Jose A. Zaldivar of Tulson, AZ; Diane I. Zaldivar of Brownsville, TX; Marco A. (Janet) Zaldivar of Pasadena, TX; Alejandro I. Zaldivar of Houston, TX; George A. Zaldivar of Swansea, IL; and Norman T. Zaldivar of North Carolina; 25 grandchildren; a sister, Pilar Montano; three brothers, Narcizo Zaldivar, Aurelio Zaldivar and Gilberto Zaldivar all of Mexico; along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito and will continue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church located at 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. The Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
