San Benito - Delia Ruiz, 71, of San Benito passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at U.T.M.B. in Galveston TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Ruiz and son, Martin Ruiz. Ms. Ruiz is survived by her daughter, Yolanda Ruiz; and 3 sons, Edward Ruiz, Hector Ruiz, and Eloy Ruiz, 18 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Santa Acosta and Juanita Lerma; and 1 brother, Emilio Rodriguez. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 29, 2006 from 12 noon to 9:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment to follow to San Benito City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Ruiz, Orlando Esquivel, Peter DeLeon, Edward Ruiz, Jr., Andy Ruiz, and Sammy Ruiz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard DeLeon, Virgil DeLeon, Rey Ruiz, and Jacob Ortega.
