He was an intelligent and successful businessman who retired from business and public life to devote his life to his family and ranch, where he worked tirelessly and selflessly to provide his family with love, happiness, and a core set of good values. Together with his wonderful wife, he lived and taught through example; they inculcated in their children a strong work ethic through discipline, responsibility, and resourcefulness; the value of knowledge and education; and the importance of respect and integrity.
