San Benito, TX- Guadalupe F. Estrada, 59, of San Benito, TX passed away June 29, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He is preceded in death by his father, Francisco Estrada; and a brother, Ramon Estrada. Our father was our greatest mentor with his knowledge of everyday life, a proud man with very few words, and shall continue to guide us with his spirit through out our lives. He loved to fish whether caught by him or others. He traveled extensively with his loving wife and grandchildren. He was happily and proudly married to Gracie for 37 years; he retired from San Benito CISD after 27 years. Guadalupe is survived by his loving wife, Gracie Estrada; his mother, Elvira R. Estrada; his children, Eleanor, and her son, Ethan Thomas; Ernie (Monica) Estrada with their children, Ernie Jr., Christian Evon and Amanda Rae; Edna (Andy) Claudio with their children, Andy Jr., Kayla Elexus, and Nathaniel Lupito; and Edward (Aryn) Estrada with their children, Edward Jr. and Graciella; his sister, Josefina (Joel) Abrego; along with numerous family members. Visitation will be held July 2, 2010 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ernie Estrada, Sr., Edward Estrada, Andy Claudio, Ruben Huerta, Ruben Montenegro and John Olivo; Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Estrada, Jr., Andy Lewis Claudio, Jr. and Nathaniel Lupito Claudio.
