Brownsville, TX - Peter Arnold Lee passed away peacefully at his home in Brownsville, TX surrounded by his family and friends on June 26, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Zikmund; his two daughters, Trilde Moore and Heidi Fleming; and his grandchildren, Ben Fleming, Brandon Fleming, Madeline Moore, Simon Moore, and Jessamine Moore; and Patriarch of the Lee family; and his beloved uncle, Peter S. Lee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorin Arnold Lee and Margaret Juleen Lee Erickson; and a sister, Loretta Bolstad. Pete was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on December 15, 1945, he moved to Alaska in 1947. Pete was the Alaskan State Wrestling Champion in high school and went to AMU and worked in commercial fishing in Bristol Bay until he got married in 1965 and had two girls, Trilde Moore and Heidi Fleming; Pete worked for Industrial Air Products in Anchorage for 10 years; and for Big Three Lincoln Alaska in Fairbanks and Anchorage for the next 12 years. In 1986, Pete went to work at the Prudhoe Bay Oil fields and met the love of his life, Audrey Zikmund. During the next 10 years, they owned a flower shop, a beauty shop, a limousine service, and a produce market in Homer, AK. Pete traveled coast to coast with Audrey working as work campers and joining the circus, until he settled in Brownsville, TX. Pete drove a truck for a couple of years and then went to work with Bryant Industrial Services until he began suffering from ALS symptoms in 2007, and was finally diagnosed in September 2008. Memorial gathering and luncheon will be held at 471 Champion Dr. in VICC, Brownsville, at 1:00 P.M. on Monday July 5, 2010 followed by a memorial in the bay and reception.
