Port Isabel, Texas: Rosalio R. Hernandez, 78, of Port Isabel, TX passed away on April 24, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. Rosalio was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel; and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church of Port Isabel; he was also a shrimper in the shrimping industry and worked for Port Isabel Housing Authority for 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cresencio and Ester Rodriguez Hernandez; a brother, Guadalupe Hernandez; a grandchild, Jesus Guadalupe Moriel; and ion-in-law, Apolinar "Polo" Vasquez. He is survived by his wife, Josefa G. Hernandez; 3 sons, Miguel G Hernandez, Rosalio Hernandez, Jr. and Gustavo Hernandez; 2 daughters, Martha Emelda Vasquez and Estella Hernandez; his grandchildren, Alma Guerra, Patricia Sanchez, Miguel A. Hernandez, Josefa Hernandez, Amalia Hernandez , Elias Hernandez, Vanessa Moriel, Abigail Moriel, Jonathan Vasquez, Julia Vasquez, Araceli Vasquez and Edward Landa; 14 great grandchildren, Cristian Vasquez, Ramiro Guerra Jr., Roel Guerra, Alyssa Guerra, Jonah Hernandez, Lauren Hernandez, Jaime Gonzalez Jr., Jayden Gonzalez, Noel Gonzalez Jr., Briana Villarreal, Josiah Woods, Diego Sanchez, Damien Sanchez and Adrian Sanchez. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:00 A.M. today, April 26, 2010 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Cremation will follow to Sacred Park Crematorium.
