Los Fresnos, TX- Wayne Eugene Gerdsen, 78 of Los Fresnos, TX passed away, Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucy Gerdsen; and his brother, Donald Gerdsen.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Gerdsen; his sons, Kenneth "Kenny" Gerdsen and Steve Gerdsen-Rodgers; a brother, Robert Gerdsen, Jr; his grandchildren, Diana Gerdsen, Kevin Gerdsen, Kala Gerdsen, Danielle Gerdsen and Derek Gerdsen; his great grandson, Jordan Pope Gerdsen; and several nieces and nephews.
Tony was a Korean Veteran; and was an Elder and teacher at La Harpe Christian Church in La Harpe, Kansas.
No local services will be held. Funeral Services will be held at Waugh -Yokum - Friskel Funeral Home in Iola, Kansas
