SAN BENITO - Virginia Cervantes 64, of San Benito went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. Ms. Cervantes was employed by the San Benito School District Tax office for many years and was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Cervantes, four sisters, Petra Cantu, Oralia (Raul) Ortiz, Minerva Cervantes and Hortencia Cervantes, three brothers, Eusebio (Felipa) Cervantes, Roberto (Margaret) Cervantes and Jesus (Guadalupe) Cervantes all of San Benito and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin today from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Thomae - Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Michael Aguilera, Joe Luna, Rudy Resendez, Timothy Staples, Ricky Diaz, and Jose Cervantes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Cuellar, Christopher Cervantes and Joshua Diaz.
