Jose E. Mendez, 94, of San Benito passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at La Hacienda in Harlingen. He was a member of Iglesia Evagelica Cristiana Espiutual. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Julia Alejo Martinez; 1 daughter, Josefina Mendez Alejo. He is survived by his children, Jose T. Mendez , Laurencio Mendez and Tanislada Mendez; his present wife, Viviana Mendez; 2 Sons, Juan (Rosa Maria) Mendez and Samuel (Martha) Mendez; grandchildren, Alenjandro, Bejamin, Ishmuel Mendez; 29 other grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Chapel Service will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery. Special thanks to Rosa M.
