San Benito, Tx - Robert M. Zuniga 75, of San Benito went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He was born in Los Indios, Texas on March 30, 1934. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Petra Yzaguirre Zuniga; brothers, Isidro and Nicolas Sandoval; a sister, Josefina Escobedo. He is survived by two sons, George (Norma) Zuniga and Leonel (Gracie) Zuniga; four daughters, Angie Zuniga, Borrie Zuniga, Mary (Omar) Carrera and Veronica Yvette (Zuniga) Ybarra; mother, Enriqueta Sandoval; four brothers, Salvador Maldonado, Santos Sandoval, Enrique Sandoval, Maximo Sandoval; five sisters, Maria Padilla, Maria Isabela Longoria, Adelina Villafranco, Juana Medrano, Clara Gamez; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Chapel Service will be held Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow to Zuniga Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leonel Zuniga, Omar Carrera, Jr., Joel Sifuentes, Jessie Sifuentes, Eddric Juarez and Arnold Cepeda.
