Jose Lara, 77 of San Benito, Texas passed away on June 18, 2007 at UTMB Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Mr. Lara was born on June 1, 1930 in Panuco, Zacatecas Mexico. He is survived by his Wife; Maria Lara of San Benito, Texas, 7 Daughters; Lydia (Jose) Zuniga of Leander, Texas, Esther Vasquez of Los Fresnos, Texas, Maria Martha (Eliseo) Lara Vasquez of San Benito, Texas, Elizabeth (Miguel) Macias of Grand Prairie, Texas, Noemi Cardenas (Jim, "J.D.") of Los Fresnos, Texas, Reyna Vasquez of Brownsville, Texas and Juanita (Michael) Joiner of Houston, TX. 3 Sons: David Lara of Brownsville, Texas, Martin Domingo (Anna) Vasquez of Mexico Districto Federal, and Isaias (Rosalinda) Lara of Los Fresnos, Texas. 24 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and by 1 Sister; Bertha Lara Trejo of San Fernando, Tamaulipas Mexico. Mr. Lara was preceded in death by his Former Spouse; Rubia Lara, Parents; Juan & Carmela Lara, and by 1 Sister; Rogelia Quintana. Reyes officiating. Interment will follow to the Mont-Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
