Please share a memory of Ramiro to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
San Benito/Harlingen, TX Ramiro "Ram" Tarango, 33, passed away Friday, August 11, 2006, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. Ramiro was studying with Jehovah's Witnesses. It was his new found faith in Jehovah God's promises that sustained him and his wife through his illness. Ramiro was a loving, caring, generous soul, who put the needs of others before his own. He was a moral booster, if you were down, leave it to Ram to say or do something to pick you up. He enjoyed the outdoor life and the company of his family and good friends. To Ram there was nothing better than sitting around the barbeque pit listening to a good "corrido". He will be greatly missed by those who loved and cared for him. Ramiro was a truck driver for 8 years. He loved to drive and took great pride in his work and truck. Thank you to all his friends/ fellow drivers who made the time pass quickly as they spent hours talking on their cell phones. He is preceded in death by his much loved father, Jose Tarango, Sr. and his beloved aunt, Zenaida "Nachita" Cortez. Ramiro is survived by his loving wife, Graciela Ramos Tarango of San Benito; his mother, Eva Tarango of Harlingen; brothers, Jose (Letty) Tarango, Hector (Reyna) Tarango, and Rey Tarango all of Harlingen; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, extended family members, and friends. A special thanks to VBMC Family Practice Residency, MDs, and staff. The care provided by the FP doctors was truly a blessing. Thank you to the VBMC 4th South Tower staff, with a special thanks to their floor coordinators, who walked us gently through each step in our journey.
