San Benito- Lorenzo "El Hoss" Machuca, 61, of San Benito, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Agustin and Ofelia Machuca, and 2 brothers, Antonio Machuca and Juan de Dios Machuca. Mr. Machuca is survived by his wife, Guadalupe R. Machuca; 10 children, Daniel (Lisa) Machuca; Diamantina (Angel) Zuniga; Maria Elena Machuca; Rosa Alma (George) Lopez; Irene (Juan) Machuca; Veronica (Enrique) Machuca; Lorenzo (Nelda) Machuca, Jr.; Ofelia (Gabriel) Machuca; Mage Estella Machuca; Lucy (Joel) Machuca; 29 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his 4 brothers, Eduardo Machuca; Joventino Machuca; Agustin Machuca, Jr.; Bernabe Machuca; and 3 sisters, Angelica Garcia; Alma Gloria de Leon; Antonia Machuca; also numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held today, August 10, 2006, and Friday, August 11, 2006 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
