Rio Hondo- Jose G. Flores, 71, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2006 at his residence in Rio Hondo, Texas. Mr. Flores is survived by his children, Guadalupe Flores, Carmen Hernandez, Maria Flores, Jose Flores, and Gilberto Flores, all of Rio Hondo; Monica Flores, and Ana Maria Compean, both of San Benito; Blanca Margarita Flores, Berta Flores, Mario Flores, and Ruben Flores all of Mexico. 43 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Nieves Flores, Isreal Flores, Juan Flores, Jose Angel Flores, Concepcion Flores, Carmen Flores, Maria Flores, Santos Flores, Lidia Flores, and Ernestina Flores all of Mexico. He is preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe Flores; son, Eligio Flores; parents, Jose and Andrea Garza Flores; brother, Pedro Flores; and 2 sisters, Lupe Flores and Tila Flores. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Wednesday, August 2, 2006 from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. At which time a Chapel Service will begin at 2:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Las Yescas Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Guadalupe Flores, Jacinto Flores, Ramon Hernandez, Jr., Eligio Hernandez, Guillermo Flores, and Jose Flores.
