Jose Barrientos SAN BENITO, TX - Jose Barrientos, 106, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006. Mr. Barrientos was a lifetime resident of San Benito, and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. He is survived by his sister, Vicenta Barrientos of San Benito; niece, Ernestina Espinoza of San Benito; 6 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Barrientos; 2 sons, Juan Barrientos and Pedro Barrientos; and 10 brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 24, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment to follow to Harlingen City Cemetery.
