San Benito - Julia "Julie" Martinez passed away at her residence on Monday July 10, 2006. Julie was a 1994 graduate of San Benito High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. For the past couple of years she was employed by J.P. Morgan Chase Company in San Antonio, TX. Julie is survived by her wonderful children; daughter, Kassandra Mae and son, Cristian. She is also survived by her mother Julia G. Martinez, 5 sisters: Dalia Martinez, Rio Hondo, Gabriella De Leon, Chicago, IL., Illeana Moreno, Harlingen, Anabel Chapa, San Benito, Jessica Martinez, Harlingen; 4 brothers: Rolando Martinez, Harlingen, Reymundo Martinez, Jr., San Benito, Rogelio Martinez, San Benito, Raul Martinez, San Benito; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Julie is preceded in death by her father: Reymundo Martinez, Sr., Sister: Maria Magdalena Gutierrez, Brother: Juan Antonio Martinez, Paternal Grandparents: Apolonio and Maria Martinez, Maternal Grandparents: Juan and Elisa Garza. Pallbearers will be Rolando Martinez, Raul Moreno, Rolando Martinez, Jr., Raul Moreno III, Francisco De Leon, III, and Danny Garza. Honorary pallbearers are Reymundo Martinez, Jr., Rogelio Martinez and Raul Martinez. Visitation will be held today Saturday July 15, 2006 from 12:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Sunday July 16, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. A 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday July 17, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in San Benito with interment to follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
