Port Isabel, TX: Barbara Jayne Friedman, 72, wife of businessman, David Friedman, of Port Isabel, TX lost her battle with cancer on Monday, January 25, 2010 at her home. Barbara was a long time resident of the Laguna Madre area; she was active in business, various charities and social events. She loved to fish and travel with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jean Stanley; and her brother, Joseph Stanley, Jr. Barbara is survived by her loving husband, David Robert Friedman; her daughter, Denise (Terry) McPartland; her sons, Bob Friedman and Scott D. Friedman; a granddaughter, Malorie Friedman; her sister, Jackie Ross; and many aunts, uncles and various cousins. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Chapel by the Sea Church, located at Isla Blanca Park in S. Padre Island, TX.
