SAN BENITO, TX. - Juan Barrientos "La Burra", 77, of San Benito, TX, passed away January 22, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. He is preceded in death by his wife, Celestina Barrientos; a brother, Uvence Barrientos; a sister, Maria de Socorro Barrientos; his parents, Jose and Ricarda Zuniga Barrientos; and a sister in law, Victoria Perez Barrientos. Juan is survived by his loving sons, Ramiro Barrrientos , Ruben Barrientos, Ray (Lydia) Barrientos all of San Benito; a loving daughter, Rita Barrientos of San Benito; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; his 5 brothers, Guadalupe (Josefina) Barrientos, Carlos Zuniga Barrientos, Gilberto (Hilaria) Barrientos, Pablo (Olga) Barrientos and Jose(Maggie) Barrientos; and his 4 sisters, Manuela (Lorenzo) De La Fuente, Cecilia (Jose Luis) Mendez, Lydia Barrientos and Alicia Barrientos; and a sister in law, Juanita Barrientos. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 12 Noon to 9: 00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
