Harlingen/La Porte, TX- Pablo R. Gonzales, 45, of Harlingen/La Porte, TX passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009 at St. Luke Hospital in Houston. Pablo was employed for the past 20 years at INEOS USA LCC; he was a 1983 graduate from Harlingen High School; a 1989 graduate from TSTI of Harlingen with an Associate in Chemical Technology; and he also attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in La Porte, TX. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lilia Rendon Gonzales; his aunt, Nora R. Marin; his uncle, Julio Gonzales, Jr.; his paternal grandfather, Julio Gonzales, Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Maria Balli Gonzales; and his maternal grandfather, Hilario Rendon. Pablo is survived by his loving wife, Celia Salazar Gonzales; his daughter, Lilia Gonzales; his father, Jose Leija Gonzales; his sister, Ofelia (Fernando) Vasquez, their children, Fernando Jr., Armando and Laura Vasquez; his brothers, Joe (Amparo) Gonzales, their children, Belen and Joey; and Esteban (Jessica) Gonzales, their children, Stevie and Kevin; maternal grandmother, Olivia C. Rendon; his father and mother in law, Juan Arturo Salazar and Estefana Tamayo Salazar; his uncles, Tomas Maldonado, Eusebio Gonzales, Francisco Rendon, Hilario Rendon, Jr., Leondro Rendon and Alfredo Marin; his aunts, Maria Gonzales, Manuela Rendon, Obdulia Rendon, Olivia R. Solis, Rosa Rendon and Zulema Rendon; along with other nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 12 Noon to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Interment will follow to Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery located on Godwin Rd. in Harlingen.
