Port Isabel, TX. - Mario Carrillo, 66, of Port Isabel, TX went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 in Port Isabel, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Ascenio and Maria de Jesus Montoya - Carrillo; 1 sister, Blanca Alicia Carrillo Mario was a resident of Port Isabel for the past 30 years and was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel. He had a passion for cooking and started working at Rovan's Bakery in 1980's, Holiday Inn in 1990's and Bahia Mar Restaurant. Mr. Carrillo is survived by his common law wife, Beverley Bolianaz; four brothers, Jose Luis Carrillo, Jose Ascencio Carrillo, Victor Manuel Carrillo, Sergio Humberto Carrillo; 3 sisters, Petra Dominguez, Angelina Carrillo, Raquel Armida Miranda; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel, TX. Cremation will follow services.
