San Benito, TX- Sylvia G. Garza, 52, of San Benito, TX went to be with Our Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. Sylvia is survived by her loving husband, Rolando Garza; a daughter, Lori A. Garza; her parents, Israel Gonzalez and Clara Gonzalez; one brother, Joe (Yolanda) Gonzalez; her mother-in-law, Elvia Garza; her father-in-law, Guadalupe Garza; numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who all loved her very much. Sylvia was devoted to her only daughter and supported her in pageants, cheerleading and dancing events. She also enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews at all sporting events; always there to cheer them on. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 from 12:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito, TX. Committal Service will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Lupe Garza, Mario Garza, Mark Garza, Al Gonzales, Juan Gonzales and Leo Gonzales. Honorable Pallbearers are Carlos Garza, Amanda Garza, Mario Garza, Jr., Abraham Ponce, Ricky D.
