My deepest sympathy to your family at this very difficult time. Mrs. Martinez was one of my patients. She was always smiling even if she was in great pain. She was such a compassionate person. She loved her famiy and she spoke so much of her family and husband. She never showed any fear with her illness. She looked forward to conquering it. I only knew her for a short while but it seems like I knew her for a life-time. I will treasure all our times we shared conversations. To the Martinez/Cuevas family: I am sorry to hear of your loss. Find comfort in knowing Maria is with our Lord Jesus Christ and is watching from heaven over her family. As we passed thru Port Isabel on our way to South Padre a few years ago, we had the pleasure of meeting the Cuevas family. My condolences to all of her loved ones. Inez and I would bump into eachother at our oncologist appointments, and i would see the sparkle in her eyes,she never lost that. I would admire her strength and the way she smiled.Both of us with no hair! No matter what the situation was she held on to hope till the end. I hope i can continue living from what i've learned from her. She was the meaning of STRENGTH. May she rest in peace, she will remain in my thoughts and in my heart forever.

My most sincere sympathies go out to the family and friends of Inez. I was her high school English teacher 2 years in a row and knew her to be engaging in every way. She was certainly the kind of student that teachers want in their classes. We saw one another only a couple of times since her graduation, but we were both so glad to catch up.
