Rio Hondo, TX- Marcela R. Juarez, 94, of Rio Hondo, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009 at her residence in Rio Hondo. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Juarez; and several brothers and sisters. Marcelita is survived by her 5 daughters, Guadalupe J. (Antonio) Anguiano, Maria Luisa (Nicanor) Vasquez, Eliza (Fred) Gould, Oralia (Isidro) Alvarado and Thelma (Abel) Cano; her 4 sons, Juan Jose (Ofelia) Juarez, Facundo (Linda) Juarez, Benito (Gloria) Juarez and Desiderio (Angelica) Juarez; a brother, Juan (Lupita) Rodriguez; 26 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park Mausoleum in San Benito. Pallbearers will be Antonio Anguiano, Isidro Alvarado, Benito Juarez, Desiderio Juarez, Aaron Vasquez, Valentin Vasquez, George Juarez and Abel Cano.
