San Benito, TX- Domingo Davila entered the Lord's kingdom on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the age of 58. Sony was loved and respected by all his family and friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Apolonia and Pedro Davila; his sister, Gregoria Vela; his brothers, Jose Davila, Vicente Davila and Ernesto Davila. Domingo is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Maria Davila; stepdaughters, Nora (Victor) Davila, Marilyn Basaldua and Michelle Basaldua; stepsons, Ismael Basaldua, Gustavo Basaldua, Adrian Medellin and Oscar Store; his sisters, Beatrice Basaldua of Harlingen; and Lucy Salamon of Driscoll; his brothers, Joaquin Davila and Leonardo Davila both of Corpus Christi; along with numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Visitations were held on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 12 Noon to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009, Military Honors will be conducted at 12 Noon and Chapel Service will begin at 2:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
