San Benito, TX - Derek Michael Rodriguez, 19, of San Benito, TX entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 23, 2009. He was a 2008 graduate of Rio Hondo High School. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jeremy John Rodriguez; paternal grandmother, Dora Rodriguez and an uncle, Eduardo Rodriguez. Derek is survived by his mother, Elsa Castillo Rodriguez; his father, Daniel Rodriguez; three brothers, Daniel Rodriguez Jr., David (Ericka) Rodriguez and Adrian Rodriguez; a sister, Stephanie (Johnny) Rodriguez, his maternal grandparents, Juan and Olga Castillo;his paternal grandfather, Emiliano Rodriguez, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 12pm to 9pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 9:00 am at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, TX. Pallbearers are Zeke Carmona, Jr., J.J. Lopez, Johnny Morales, Zeke Carmona, Eddie Tenorio and Christopher Castaneda. Honorary Pallbearers are Danny Rodriguez, Adrian Rodriguez, David Rodriguez and Steph Rodriguez.
