San Benito, TX- Manuela Soriano Padilla, 92, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 in Katy, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio M. Padilla; her parents; four siblings; and two stepchildren, Mauricio and Ofelia Padilla. She is survived by her children: Victoria Sanchez, Jose Sanchez, Juanita Garza, and Lupita Gonzales; her stepchildren: Olivia, Antonio, Jose, Juan, Alvino, Reynaldo, and Enedelia Padilla. She is also survived by 75 grandchildren, 102 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a holy rosary at 7:00 PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal service will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
