San Benito, TX - Socorro Meeks, 89, of San Benito, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She has preceed to join her husband of over 25 years, Clifford J. Meeks, Sr.; and her only son, Raul A. Mireles. Socorro is survived by her daughters, Bertha Hurtado of Guadalajara, Jalisco,Mexico; Georgina M. Priddy of West Covina, California; and Arlene Meeks Garcia of El Sauz, Texas; also all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Cremation will follow service.
