San Benito, TX - San Juanita Tijerina, 83, of San Benito, passed away Friday, February 13, 2009 at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She was a native of Los Indios and a resident of San Benito, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo Tijerina; and her parents, Telesforo and Guadalupe Zamora. Mrs. Tijeriina is survived by her four sisters, Esperanza Garcia, Delfina E. Chartea, Carlota (Jesus) Reyna, Viola (Juan) Martinez; numerous nephews and nieces and other relatives.
Visitations will be held on today, Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church In San Benito, Texas. Interment will follow to Las Rucias cemetery in Las Rucias, Texas.
