Rio Hondo, TX - Yamily Brizeila Mendoza, 20, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2009 at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. She was a native of Harlingen and a resident of Rio Hondo. She attended Texas State Technical College in Harlingen. She was a loving daughter, sister and friend who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her loving sister, Yanely Karen Mendoza. Yamily is survived by her parents, Santiago and Palmira Mendoza; brothers and sisters, Yatcity Mendoza, Mary Mendoza, Santiago Mendoza III, Kassandra Mendoza and Jose Juan Mendoza; Paternal Grandparents, Santiago Sr. and Maria Mendoza; Maternal Grandparents, Jose and Carmen Medrano and numerous other relatives. Visitations will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 12 Noon to 9:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Helen Catholic Church in Rio Hondo, Texas. Interment will follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
