Port Isabel, TX - Tom Bealer, 75, of Port Isabel, TX formerly of East Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents Zana and Red Bealer; his daughter, Cindy Bealer; a brother, Pat Bealer; and a sister, Delores Bealer. Tom is survived by his wife, Jean Bealer; daughter, Shari Bealer; son, Dusty Bealer; 2 grandchildren, Justin Bealer and Nicole Bealer; 4 brothers, Ken Bealer, Bill Bealer, Jack Bealer and Richard Bealer; 3 sisters, Jackie Bealer gatton, Sharon Bealer Hentzen and Sally Bealer Strom and a host of nieces and nephews. Tom was born on January 1, 1934 in Rock Island, IL, a son of Leonard (Red) and Zana Cook Bealer. The Bealer family moved to Port Byron, IL when Tom was very young. On August 25, 1957, he married Lucille Watson and had 3 children. On October 10, 1976, Tom was united in marriage to Jean Smith Copley. Tom worked at Farmall International Harvester Works for 28 years along with working at Consumer Ready Mix for 10 years. He loved the river along with boating, fishing and reading. In lieu of Funeral Services the family will greet friends on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at their residence, at 702 Champion # A15 in Port Isabel, TX. There will be a Memorial Service on April 11, 2009, in the Quad Cities for sharing special memories.
